Connestee Falls — A planned, 4,000 acre resort and retirement community just west of Brevard on US-64, Connestee Falls has some 4,000 homes and still has more home sites for sale. Pisgah Forest — Start with a lumber company, then add a specialized paper mill next door, then a lot of homes for the workers and you have, once upon a time, Pisgah Forest and Ecusta. Two significant rivers flow through Pisgah Forest, the French Broad River and the Davidson River. Well, folks, the industries are long gone but the rivers are still here and so are the homes. Now a quiet residential suburb of Brevard, there are good homes to be had, here, for a lot less money than you might think.
